What is mobile caravan Tyre fitting?
If you’ve never used a mobile tyre service before, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s a simple process. First, you’ll need to contact our team via phone or use our contact form to receive a quote.
Once you’ve got a quote, you can let us know where and when you’d like us to fit your new caravan tyres. We provide same-day fitting if you need to replace your tyres urgently.
On the day of fitting, a team member will be in touch to let you know when our technician is on his way. If your caravan is in storage or on-site, we can still replace your tyres without you having to be there; however, we’ll need to take payment in advance for this service.
Our technicians will then change your tyres safely and efficiently upon arrival, with the tyres set to the correct pressure and wheel bolts torqued to manufacturer specifications.
At the end of the service, you can then pay for your tyres by cash or card. Our fitters carry portable card machines on-board that accept both Visa Debit and MasterCard.
What's included in the mobile service?
When you get a quote from us for new caravan tyres, the price will include the following:
- The cost of the tyre
- Valve replacement
- Wheel balancing
- Mobile fitting
- Casing disposal
Caravan tyre ageing
Rarely are caravan tyres replaced due to having low tyre tread. In fact, in most cases, we end up replacing caravan tyres that are only 10-20% worn. That’s because caravan tyres have a lifespan of 5 to 6 years before they become prone to failure, so they need to be changed when they reach this age.
Even if you think your tyres look fine, it’s worth double-checking the manufacturing date to see if they are still less than six years old. If you don’t know how old your caravan tyres are, you can book an appointment for our technicians to come out and check your tyres for you!
Tyron safety bands
Tyron safety bands are designed to prevent the tyre from coming off the rim in the event of a tyre failure. If your caravan has been fitted with Tyron bands, our technicians have all the equipment necessary to reinstall them when you have your tyres changed.
If you’re unsure whether your caravan has Tyron bands fitted, the best way to find out is to look at your wheels. When Tyron bands are installed, the technician will often put a Tyron sticker on the alloy wheel’s front to confirm they have been fitted.

There is no difference between a caravan tyre and a standard car or van tyre. However, we advise that you don’t overspend on expensive brands when replacing your caravan tyres as you won’t get value for your money.
Camping tyres are specially designed for motorhomes, and we recommend replacing them like-for-like if possible. However, you can only buy camping tyres in premium brands, which means they can be expensive. And, much like caravan tyres, they do have a lifespan of 5 to 6 years. So if you don’t travel very often or go abroad, you’ll be better off fitting standard van tyres.
Caravan tyres are more prone to failure after six years, so anytime after that is ideal. However, if you’re not planning on using your caravan on the road anytime soon, there is no need to replace them.
If your tyres are not yet six years old and the perishing is minor, then it’s perfectly acceptable to continue using them. However, if the perishing on the sidewall or tread is severe, you will need to replace them before any long journey.
If you’re unsure and would like professional advice, contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yes, but only if the tyres are left under load for long periods without being rotated or moved. We advise turning your wheels every few months to prevent flat spots from occurring.
Yes, there is an additional charge if you’d like us to reinstall your Tyron safety bands. You can get a complete quote from us by filling out our contact form.
If your caravan is in storage or on-site and you don’t live locally, you can have your tyres changed without any need to travel there.
However, we will need to take payment in advance, and the staff at reception must have access to all necessary keys to remove any wheel locks.
Our tyre technicians are specialised in dealing with caravans, so there is no need to worry about motor-movers or any other accessories you have fitted to your vehicle.
